C.V.R. Murty is a Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras who chases earthquakes whenever they happen. Meanwhile, he’s busy preparing Indian standards for teaching how to design buildings and bridges to resist earthquakes, talking to students about facing the real world and reading texts on traditional values, and drawing critical guidance for family and friends. In particular, he is excited about waking students, not from their beds but, from their “gone-with-the-wind” approach to life, towards realising their highest potential. More importantly, he is super-excited about talking to parents (and potential parents) on parenting.
