Vidya Sarveswaran is an Associate Professor of English at IIT Jodhpur, specializing in Environmental Humanities, heritage, and culture. A Fulbright Fellow and Rachel Carson Fellow, she holds a PhD from IIT Madras. She has co-edited several significant works in ecocriticism and environmental communication, including The Bloomsbury Handbook to Medical Environmental Humanities. Her recent book Pravesh: Rite of Passage (co-authored) was released by the Honourable Prime Minister in 2024. Her collaborative temple conservation project with IIT Madras received the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award of Distinction in 2024.
