An ophthalmologist by profession, Dr. Navin Jayakumar is the Hon. Director of Darshan Eye Clinic in Chennai. A Visiting Scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he has been recognized by the Hong Kong’s Action for Vision Foundation in 2006 for his work in alleviating cataract blindness there. He is also the only Indian (and one of two Asians) on the editorial board of the prestigious Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, USA. He’s also a quizmaster extraordinaire, a Founding Member of The Quiz Foundation of India. He has been the Quizmastern at the Landmark Quiz (India’s biggest open team quiz) for the past 23 years. To top it all, Dr. Navin Jayakumar also plays western classical music piano.
