Beginning its journey in late 2016, Kitaabo – The Blue City Children’s Literature Festival was designed for children between the ages of 8-14 years by the Desert Leaf Foundation. Children in this age group are vastly ambitious and absorbent beings. For ideas to ferment, for young imagination to take wings, to swing the doors open for the world to come flooding in – literature is the panacea noun. Freely accessible to all, Kitaabo aims to bring together children to discover the wonders of literature in its many manifestations. In a city like Jodhpur the festival, gains eminent currency as a precursor of cultural evolution, creative renegotiations and copious learning opportunities for all.
